Allows OCs?
I have always said that I value OCs within the faction of SeeD, almost more than I value the Feature Characters. Unlike those with a pre-destined life picked out for them, Original Concept characters are characters that can take their life and their Garden studies in any direction. Bringing that up, there are three major options that an OC character can take when they apply to be a part of the SeeD/SETO (Seed Esthar Treaty Organization) faction.

1.) They can apply to be an accomplished and graduated SeeD already. This means your character is under 20 years of age and able to move up in rank within the SeeD organization.

2.) They can apply to be a cadet. With Garden's new very easy-to-use schooling system, being a cadet can be rather fun. Watching your character grow and develop from the very beginning of SeeD. Cadet characters must be generally under 15 years of age to 7 years of age when applying.

3.) They can apply to be a part of SeeD's new "Outlanders" division. Headed by Cary Castlien, this division was created for characters over the age of 20. Not able to fully become a SeeD, these are generally members from other worlds, like Final Fantasy Tactics, ex-ShinRa agents... etc. These are people who will always be below the rank of SeeD and never able to command or move up in rank, but used in battle.

When applying for anything, it is not required bu trecommended to speak to either myself, Seifer Almasy (the assistant faction head) or in the case of the Outlanders Cary Castlien.

Interfaction RP Opportunities?
Being one of the most thought about factions on the MUSH, SeeD and SETO always has RP opportunities. Because SeeD can be used in almost every respects of war, military and diplomatic relations, there is always roleplaying to be had and be capitalized upon with regards to our faction and other factions. SeeD has involved itself, in one way or another with many plots, countless TPs and a lot of fun involving many of the factions here. We regard ourselves as mature players with the esteem to help a plot turn out fun and enjoyable.

The faction is half self-motivated and half-FacHead assisted. In a sense, we like to allow the players and characters within our faction to find their own RP opportunities and capture them, while we work on the grand-scale TinyPlots that will bring the faction together.

Some prime examples of this is our first Festival event; organized on a whim, but player run. There was also the slight TP involving AVLANCHE and Golbez, where SeeD got involved, but for free and of their own accord depending on the morals of the individual SeeD members.

Outside TPs and RP?
This topic is a rather easy one. Easy in the sense that SeeD members are encouraged to leave Garden and find plots and small stories to get into. Afterall, the main purpose of Garden is to train SeeDs for the use of other nations. We encourage this sort of behaviour. The only behaviour that is frowned upon is the massive teleportation of characters from one spot to the next. Things like a character, in the same day has travelled to four cities half-way across the world for the sake of a scene or two. Especially when there's scenes nearby readily available.

While this might sound almost pompous, we only promote realism within our faction, and a sort of military order. Each person has a lot of fun, and each person seems to enjoy the structure and the discipline, plus the commitment of being a member of SeeD.

Additional Information
Conclusions and possible employment positions:

There are many available positions open in SeeD that is not the standard fighting force. Things like:
- Hospital Employees
- Engineers and Garage Workers
- Diplomats and Official Ambassadors to other Nations
- Support and Healing Magic Combatants
- Instructors

SeeD is an environment for players to get along, to feel a part of a faction that isn't only a faction, but a group of friends. There are many myths about the channel being rather... wild, crazy, wacky, but all of them are true. We enjoy each other's company and we strive to help one another, both IC and OOC. We do not remain active because we have to, or for the reputation, but only because it is fun and enjoyable to be a part of the faction. We are also closely aligned with Esthar, and interacting with that faction can be a very enjoyable, very fun opportunity. Apping either SeeD or Esthar will bring you into this atmosphere. The faction heads, myself and Seifer, as well as active members like Rinoa, Ellone and Cary are always available to help or answer questions.
Thank you for considering SeeD.
