Allows OCs?
-As the Empire only /has/ a couple of FCs, it's obvious the faction thrives on OCs, allowing them to gain prestigious positions of wealth, power, or distinction. OCs may apply INTO the empire, or join after applying.
Interfaction RP Opportunities?
-There is a good amount of interfactional TP, including an active Gestahl.
Outside TPs and RP?
-Empire's large chunk of RP comes from outside sources; they've had nominal participation in TPs, although in the past the faction has been involved in a lot of action.

The Empire's governing body is as wide and varied as any you might expect to find in real life. All power derives from Emperor Gestahl himself and the Empire's current goals and policies are all directed by him, but he cannot do everything (much as he'd like to). Beneath the Emperor, there are several ministries, each charged with the governing of an aspect of the Empire.
Individual provinces are administrated by a governor (appointed by the Emperor), assisted by members of the various ministries, departments and authorities assigned to the region. Ideally, the governor and his staff are supposed to oversee the management of local government and arbitrate between the various factions when conflicts of authority arise. In reality it is rarely that simple, and the governor must tread a delicate line, negotiating and compromising in order to keep the area under his jurisdiction productive. Emperor Gestahl doesn't appear to take any notice at all so long as provinces continue to function, but he actually keeps a very close eye on the political machinations within his government, keeping track of those who have the potential to rise high within the Empire and averting potential challenges to his authority.
